Taxi Service

The Taxi Service is part of the Mt. Vernon Transportation Department. A cab runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with a lunch break from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. This service is primarily for senior citizens and handicap citizens as a way to get around the city. Cost: $1.00 per ride (one way), $.50 senior citizens (one way). A second cab will run on other days as needed. Two cabs run on Monday and Thursday.

The Taxi Service does not run on holidays when City Hall is closed
