Designation of Ward Two

Ward Number Two shall be composed of all that portion of the corporate limits of the City of Mount Vernon, Missouri, lying and situated south of Ward Number One and west of a line described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a point on the intersection of the centerline of Cherry Street and Main Street, south to Sloan Street, east to Hickory; thence south along the centerline of said Hickory Street, and a continuation thereof, to the south boundary line of the City of Mount Vernon, Missouri.

Biography: Carol Millsap was born and raised in Lawrence County, and has been a resident of Mt. Vernon for over 40 years. Mrs. Millsap is married with three daughters and 4 grandchildren.

She has been a representative for Prudential Financial for 10 years and enjoys working with investments and life insurance.

Mrs. Millsap has been involved with the Red, White and Boom! celebration since it began three years ago. She is very proud of how this event has grown and become a popular event in the community.

Other activities include directing the Celebration Community Choir and acting as the executive secretary and trustee for the MVHS Foundation. Mrs. Millsap is also serving as the President for the Community Liaison Council for the Mt. Vernon Treatment Center.

Mrs. Millsap was elected to the Board of Aldermen in April 2004, and states "I care about the future of Mt. Vernon and will do my best to make sure that the city continues to move forward."
